Archaeology of the periphery
The “Archaeology of the periphery”, the interdisciplinary research developed for the Moscow Urban Forum has been published. The main subject of study was the industrial-modernist periphery Moscow.
Davide Boazzi and Federico Parolotto, Senior partners at MIC-HUB, wrote the article on public transport access and population distribution.
The “Archaeology of the periphery” is the first major interdisciplinary urban research in the post-Soviet practice. Its format and methodological framework are of particular interest: a conscious choice in favor of an equitable interdisciplinary. The research is composed of six «monodisciplinary» ways in which the study was based, indicated by the acronym SPACE: the first letters of English words Sociology, Politics, Architecture, Culture, Economics, Data.
