MIC-HUB is working with Lendlease to develop an innovative, sustainable and technology-driven mobility strategy that reflects the soul of MIND, the Milan Innovation District.
MIND is the new Italian centre of scientific excellence and one of the most important urban regeneration projects in Europe. It is a large contemporary district dedicated to science, research and technology, an international hub of knowledge and sustainable growth.
The mobility project, developed by MIC-HUB, is the result of strategies and solutions for multiple aspects, including experimental micro-mobility, parking, logistics, integration of new technologies, data analysis and management policies, which together contribute to shaping the mobility of the new Campus.

Our contribution
The one million square metre area on the outskirts of Milan is already connected to the main transport networks. MIC-HUB supported the developers by producing a specific study of travel movements and a feasibility analysis of collective transport in the area. These formed the basis for realising a shared system for the sustainable movement of the 60,000 people who are expected to move around the MIND district every day.
MIC-HUB also presented a mobility management programme for the new district to create a cognitive framework of supply and demand, as well as creating and implementing strategies for the general district, businesses and internal stakeholders.
The study introduces a new concept of mobility, making MIND the ideal place to develop innovative projects, and experiment with and test out future models of urban mobility: a district at the forefront of the national and international scene.
MIND is bringing together scientific and technological players who share an interest in progress, experimentation and new perspectives for the advancement of society. It is regenerating the area of the 2015 Milan Expo and is the result of a public and private partnership between Arexpo and Lendlease.
