Our contribution
MIC-HUB was called to advise the developers and designers of Portopiccolo on the accessibility of the site, once the original plans had changed from a private development to a public community development.
As the project was already under construction, there was little opportunity to influence the actual design. We designed the concept for the accessibility of Portopiccolo, using the latest car park access technology to overcome infrastructural constraints.
We then prepared tender documents for the selection of the technology provider and assisted the client during the selection process.
MIC-HUB developed the wayfinding concept to facilitate visitor access, navigation within the complex, addressing and identification of areas of interest. The project resulted in a signage system to guide residents and visitors during their stay at PortoPiccolo.
