Scalo Ravone-Prati, Bologna C40 Reinventing Cities competition
MIC-HUB is part of the GREEN SOUL team, winner of the international C40 Reinventing Cities competition promoted by the Municipality of Bologna and FS Sistemi Urbani for the regeneration of the former industrial railway site Ravone-Prati.
Located in the north-west quadrant of Bologna, the GREEN SOUL project will reunite the Ravone-Prati railway yard with the city thanks to the new station bridge which will assume a strategic urban role within the regenerative context of the City of Knowledge.
The human-scale neighbourhood promotes a sustainable lifestyle, where landscape is in synergy with the ‘nature-positive’ community, becoming a key element for a resilient response to climate change and a lever for decarbonisation. The aim is to provide affordable and quality housing that meets the needs of the city.
MIC-HUB, as an expert in sustainable mobility, is involved in defining the car free mobility strategy, the public transport and the new cycling and pedestrian routes in the area.
The project is part of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
